Item PV9/703 Wine Table / Pre-Ming Archaic Style

This recessed leg wine table has molded double stretchers and molded legs. The carved contoured aprons and spandrels are outlined with beading. Much of the original red lacquer on the base has survived. The thick black lacquer top is crazed and worn through in places, revealing the underlay of fabric. No replacements. Lacquer over softwood; 17th century, Ming Dynasty; northern China; Size: 43" x 31" x 34"
