Item 26197/693  One of a Pair of Half Round Tables on Base SOLD

This dynamic lacquer table of waisted constructon and cabriole legs ending with claw and ball feet, is made of substantial ju mu timbers and imbued with these auspicious motifs carved onto the apron: peonies, chrysanthemums, citroen, ruyi. These tables were probably used as altar tables. 19^th C. China.
