Item 20340/479 Small Chinese Shrine
Cabinet - SOLD

This 19th century shrine is in excellent condition. The size is 24x7x15 high. The shrine probably came from Fujian in Southern China. It is around 100 years old. It was meant to go on top of another side table or altar. This cabinet was made for the Chinese market. This piece retains much of its original lacquer. The gold has been retouched over the years. We do not recommend any more restoration. The remaining colors are red,black,gold and green. The lacquer has a great old patina. Oiling would compromise this look.
