Item 8726/915 Kang Table
This lacquer kang table has a drip edge which suggests it was used for serving wine. The apron and legs are of substantial thickness. On each apron, two confronting serpentine dragons are separated by a flaming pearl. The relief carving is quite detailed. The feet end with a leaf form curled tightly upward around a ball and rest on a pad. For its age, this low table is in very good condition. Locust wood (huai mu); Northern China; Circa 1800; Size: 26 x19 x 11
